I have been pursuing Data Science right from the beginning of my undergraduate degree and since then I have loved manipulating data and finding meaningful insights using modern state-of-the-art techniques. I'm currently doing a Masters in Data Science at The University of Adelaide.
Novel Coronavirus had wrecked havoc when the number of cases were constantly rising in 2020. Tracking covid data was of essence at that time. In this project, I used Covid data APIs to access the data and analyze/visualize it. I did this project in the first year of my undergraduate degree.
CAMP+ is like my child. What started as a 4th semester course project has turned into a startup. CAMP+ is a campus management app that manages day-to-day activities that happen at a residential univeristy campus. It is run by 4 Co-founders and 4 full-time employees.
Diagnosing a person with heart disease can sometimes be a time taking process. The aim of this project was to predict whether the person has heart disease or not using certain medical parameters. Data was accessed using Kaggle which has 12 features and 1 target column.
Healthcare subjects are of particular interest to me and I try to learn doing projects like this so that one day I can contribute to the healthcare industry. Cases of Breast Cancer have been rising rapidly. I used a basic dataset that consists of certain parameters related to breast to predict whether the person has breast cancer or not.
The aim of this project was to highlight the importance of EDA in Data Science. Many upcoming data scientists tend to overlook this important step of Data Science and straight away go for Machine Learning. This method is actually wrong and should not be followed.
Transformers have continuously evolved with the release of many different architectures and the aim of this article was to track the changes that happened right after transformers were introduced.
The final part of my evolution of transformers article series where I talk about current trends in AI, especially LLMs since they are talk of the town these days, thanks to ChatGPT. Photo by Jean Beller on Unsplash.
For anyone who thinks that they can’t learn data science, you are wrong. I’ll tell you how I got into data science and how it changed my perspective. I hope my journey inspires all those who are reading this and do what they love.
These are the notion notes that I made when learning about transformers from Krish Naik's youtube channel. I have attached reference link for more information in my notion page. Do check out the references as they have worked hard on this.
CLIP (Contrastive Language Image Pre-Training) is a multi-modal neural network made by OpenAI that has zero-shot capabilities. A multi modal neural network is able to interpret modalities, which is referred as something that happens or is experienced.
In this program conducted @ a local school near IIIT Dharwad in collaboration with IEEE Student Branch, IIIT Dharwad, I taught local students who had never seen a computer about computers. Doing something for the community felt really good and I am very proud of it. Without a doubt I would love to see those kids again so that I can teach them again about things that they don't have access to.
In this workshop conducted @ Deshpande Startups in collaboration with GDG Hubli for Google I/O extended, I got a chance to showcase and explain my 'Importance of EDA Project'. It was an exciting workshop as it was the first one that I was conducting outside my college. It was a great experience to present in front of a crowd of more than 100. You can know more about my project from the projects section.
In this workshop conducted @ IIIT Dharwad for The DSAI Society, I guided the participants through an end-to-end ML workflow Notebook coded by me. Right from loading the data, to cleaning it, doing EDA, followed by preprocessing and then training the model. I also explained them about different types of parameters in a dataset and how to handle their preprocessing.
In this workshop conducted @ IIIT Dharwad for The DSAI Society, I gave the participants an overview of Kaggle. I spoke about the importance of Kaggle and how to use it to solve real-world problems. I also discussed the different types of small courses available on Kaggle for learning and how participants can compete in competitions to win by creating unique solutions.
In this workshop conducted @ IIIT Dharwad for Techniosys, I introducted the participants to Flutter, an app development framework. I taught them how to create a basic resume app using Flutter. I also taught them how you can make the app responsive to different screen sizes. I also taught them how to use different packages in Flutter to increase the app's functionality.
